Driveshaft Speed Sensor

will mounting it to the slip yoke on the transmission work ok?

Re: Driveshaft Speed Sensor

The amount that your suspension moves the slip yoke, away from the sensor may make it unreliable.

I have mine mounted on the slip yoke with no issues whatsoever. The kit gave us no alternative.

It will also depend on what sort of sensor your DA is using. If it is a magnetic reed-switch type it will probably be unreliable as the distance between the sensor and the magnets change. If it is a Hall-effect sensor, it likely will work just fine. It also depends on the strength of the magnets in your ring.
