VP & Sunoco Race Fuel Cross Reference
Does anyone have a cross reference for VP racing fuels.
I assume Sunoco Purple (Standard) is the cross equivalent for C11? Also, does anyone know which Rocket Race Fuel is equivalent C11? What changes are usually needed to go from VP C14 to VP C11 and how much of a power difference is there for those who have tested these fuels? Thanks |
Re: VP & Sunoco Race Fuel Cross Reference
Go to a website for WHITFIELD oil company--they have the more popular brands of race fuels in a chart so you can compare fuel to fuel from Sunoco to Rockett etc. Hope this helps ---Comp 387

Re: VP & Sunoco Race Fuel Cross Reference
Found the chart. Thanks! Per VP, the rep mentioned that VP110 was similar to VP C-11, but it wouldn't pass fuel testing for the NHRA.

Re: VP & Sunoco Race Fuel Cross Reference
VP110 won't pass the $$$$$$ test. It's about 1/2 the price of C11. $5.00/gallon race gas? Can't have that!

Re: VP & Sunoco Race Fuel Cross Reference
Rockett 111 would be equivalent to C-11. Lee Nylander @ Rockett is a wealth of knowlege. He answers their tech line check out www.rockettbrand.com for an 800 number.

Re: VP & Sunoco Race Fuel Cross Reference
I dyno'd with C14 (What was available at the time) in an SS 427 Alum headed motor, so would I have to richen the mixture to go to C11, Rocket 111 or Sunoco Purple? Not going back to the dyno anytime soon to test fuels. I assume I can get an idea on what to do by viewing my EGT temps after a run?

Re: VP & Sunoco Race Fuel Cross Reference
Makes sense. We optimized the timing and jetting with C-14
Thanks! |
