Does this mean there will be a "new" version of a blown ford?

Re: How long can the old cars run ?

Not a new version of a blown ford, a resurrection of an old one with the new rules,
i.e. a 300 h.p. 57 ford. Should be a killer again.

Re: How long can the old cars run ?

I knew I was keeping my spool,axles & 6.17's from my 55-64 10 bolt for something.
Doubt if my Dana would be acceptable.

Same for my old T-16's. Back to the three speed I guess.

Re: How long can the old cars run ?

The 57 Fords are not in the class guide, therefore they can not run.

They will fix that I am sure

Why allow older cars if you don't put them back

I think they use to be there - right Tony?

There's surely not enough correct original 265/283/327 blocks to go around for the new "old" stocker demand.....the aftermarket block boys are licking their chops....It's ALL about money, once again... WJ

Just when I was thinking about selling my '58 Pontiac Chieftan with the 370 and tri-power. used to be killer cars in D/sa back in the day.

Wonder where it would fall today?

Jerry Ryan don't you have one of your 50's stockers sitting around that you are working on? Will we see it with the new rule changes?

Re: How long can the old cars run ?

265 and 283's can be make out of '62-'67 327 blocks by sleveing them.
Had a fellow running a S/S '56 tell me 'it was a poor man's bow tie block' when I asked him how he was able to still find usable 265 blocks.
