To make that work, you need a modified forward input drum, to accept that shaft, and a modified pump, to accept the stator shaft. Both the stator shaft and the input shaft are different.

If you were in the salvage yard looking for a 200 to be modified for racing. Is one better than another or are they all the same? If there is a difference whats the best models to look for it in?

I suppose a V8 car, if it has the original transmission, might be better. It is highly unlikely to find an original Metric 200 in the car it came in at this point, production ceased a long time ago. Maybe a Malibu, if you happened to find an old 305 V8 car with low miles in great shape.

look at 76-87 v6 G bodys /some of the V8 cars had them too--some 76-about 82 Fbodys maybe an Olds/Impala from the same era-- they are out there you just hafta find an older car--- maybe even buy the whole car if you can find a clunker "real cheap" -- even some Isuzu cars had them ---overall usually found in low HP lighter weight vehicles

Thanks guys. I have access to a salvage yard that went out of business in the early 90's. Its like walking through the jungle now but there are a ton of cars there. Next time I am down that way I will see what I can find.

Thanks Alan. I responded to your email to Oliver Connecting Rods about torque specs for our bolts. Let me know if you guys need anything.

not sure whats in that yard but look at full size olds /Pontiac/buick with V6 engines lotsa them had 200's some of the V8's did too--Camaro/Fbird from 77-to maybe 81-2 ---lotsa Gbody V6 from about 77-80-81--- watch the bellhousing bolt patterns I assume you want a Chevy they made lotsa them BOP bolt pattern !!!!! also S-10S-15 2 wheel driv0 vehicles but they mostly used the 60* V6 smaller bolt pattern and bellhousings too kinda looks like a standard Chevy one--all in all its gonna be hit or miss some cars may of had em others got something else you will just have to look--FED387

Never got it. We've been having issues with our email during our network change over.
