Re: Factory Stock Showdown Rule Revisions

I was involved in the meetings for these rules changes. Dale Aldo presented the data for the change for the V10 and I seconded his recommendation based on feedback we both had from V10 owners.

The 50lbs to FS/A was at my request to keep those cars a little further from sub 8.50et's that would require a new cage.

I agree the sub 400cid cars could use less weight for 350-360ish combinations. Not sure we could get light enough to be competitive but if you've got one of those combos email me and share your thoughts. There aren't many out there and we tried to keep the weight in the ballpark for the 426/427 and upcoming Ford 429 cars as these are expected to make up the majority of FS/B.

Thanks,

Jesse

What about an FS/C class with a reasonable index for those combinations?

The street Challenger is indeed 4400, but the Drag Pak Challenger is minus 1000+ at around 3200.

My Drag Pak #24, race ready was 3150 with an 8 3/4 rear, 904 and every bit of soundproofing dug out.
