If you were running between Pittsburgh and Scranton, would you pull a race car east on I-376, east on Route 22, north on I-99, and then east on I-80? I guess it's the Route 22 part that has me concerned.
Thanks, Greg |

Greg: Granted I am already 20 miles North of the city, but I would not take that route. I would absolutely go 79 north to Rt 80E
22 is miserable. |

Hi Greg, 22 is good, you'll go right past the drag strip, 99-80 and 81.

Agreed, 22 sucks. Too many lights and 45mph speed limit. Was out there for a wedding last year. Resist the urge to "straighten it out" and go 79 due north to 80E! |

I guess I got lucky, I've taken 22 in my box truck a few times when picking up machinery near the dragstrip in New Alexandria. Is it west of there when 22 becomes a problem.

I live in Pittsburgh. Definitely 79 north to 80. It may add a little bit of time. But, it's so much easier.

Thank you everyone for the response. Pauley, it looks like you got over-ruled! I used PC Miler, which is a trucker’s program for the route, and it is generally pretty good, but they also rely on feedback from customers about routes that trucks should not be on. I talked to several of our drivers, and no one had ever run that route, so this is why I asked.
