Baddest GT/AA this go around is Don Kennedy with his fresh from RWR / Tibor Kadar 428 Poncho! Don get's tree'd 1st round of eliminations, stays in it like a mad dog and goes even further under to the tune of 1.071 under the 10.270 index.
Using Don's 143.51 MPH against the 1320 / 143.51 formula shows a 9.198 ET. Don ran a 9.199 ET. Don, Steve and PMR have that little Jelly Bean car flat working! Way to go Don. I know this has been your goal. Now you can work on another Wally!

Supertrick -
Last time I looked at a qualifying sheet, they listed quickest ET from top to bottom. Like this at the Las Vegas 2 race last weekend: 1 3909 SS/BA Drew Skillman, Greenwood IN, '12 Mustang 8.773 10.07 -1.297 2 107 SS/AS Wes Leopold, Bridgeville PA, '93 Daytona 8.628 9.77 -1.142 3 5251 SS/BS Todd Patterson, Augusta KS, '10 Cobalt 8.682 9.82 -1.138 4 3903 SS/AA Ray Skillman, Greenwood IN, '10 Mustang 8.733 9.87 -1.137 5 7378 SS/BS Jimmy DeFrank, Chatsworth CA, '10 Cobalt 8.732 9.82 -1.088 6 729 SS/AA Michael Wesolowski, Mesa AZ, '12 Mustang 8.825 9.87 -1.045 7 361 SS/BS Bo Butner, Floyds Knobs IN, '10 Cobalt 8.784 9.82 -1.036 8 7701 GT/AA Don Kennedy, Mesa AZ, '05 Sunfire 9.239 10.27 -1.031 9 4466 GT/AA Robert Cruzen, Las Vegas NV, '06 Cobalt 9.241 10.27 -1.029 10 7474 SS/DM Justin Lamb, Henderson NV, '10 Cobalt 8.896 9.92 -1.024 See? The guy named Don Kennedy is listed as fastest GT/AA car in #8 position. That Robert Cruzen guy, he's listed as #9, he's below that Don Kennedy guy. This is the final qualifying list from Drag Race Central. Don Kennedy spun in Class, slowed to a 9.21. So, Don Kennedy was top in qualifying and Robert Cruzen was top in Class. Both excellent cars, both good guys. So far, they have not been in the opposing lanes together. Nitro Joe, Note I said "this go around" ! So when you update your stats, Don Kennedy's -1.071 would rank #2 in the list you provided. But the years not over...

we dont go by times under the index except for "Top Guns" because of being alt adjusted he wont still be in the top 5, bottom line what is on the ET slip is what goes in the stats
dont make me say that word..........."Guessamated" lol btw people, this has been a long yearly conversation Don always has with me so its more of yanking Don's chain then anything, but honestly nice run for Don! Last edited by Nitro Joe Jackson; 10-31-2011 at 01:34 PM. |

Cruzen only ran 139 MPH, lifting, against Kennedy in class. He wasn't running it hard in qualifying. I've seen that car has run several 10.0s. It's an eight second car if he needs it.
Most people around him know it's backed down to avoid a HP hit. Kinda like a DP or Mustang. LOL

I'd like to try that again......lol
Both cars are very fast..... if it wasn't so warm in Indy....I bet we would have seen a few 8 second time slips.... Didn't look like it was backed down to me.....1.21 60 ft ....maybe next year.... Nitro Joe's tells the story.... |

Rock, he's leaving real low and short shifting big time. Kennedy's car runs well, but Cruzen is faster than Jeff seems to think, or know about. We were kidding him about his 3/8th mile pass against you at Indy. He was watching you instead of where he was going. If the track was 1330' and you would have passed him. Best race I've seen in a while. And that thing of his flat does 60'! He is trying to save his factor to improve his chances against blown Mustangs and DPs.
