Re: Question for Ed Wright
Rich, it was 1967 or 1968. I just got my 1st real race car that year ('56 wagon) but was not fast enough to run points races yet. Didn't run that one. Already knew Jere Stahl (sorta) and met Bill Stiles (built Stahl's eng)also Jim McFarland when he came to my friend's shop to visit with Stahl & Stiles. Didn't Bill Jenkins beat Stahl's "street Hemi" that year? My friend Benny "The Wizard" Osborn also won Top Fuel. Fun times.

Re: Question for Ed Wright
SS Dart, Were you in the red Dart parked across from us? (black '96 Trans Am, SS/JA) I saw that one leave early. Give me your class & car number and I'll look. I have time slips here four four passes. Two SS/EA cars, one GT/HA (think that was Bryan Chaney, and a GT/EA. Let me know and I'll check for you.

Re: Question for Ed Wright
4911 - SS/EA..........We ran together in 2nd Q. pass. I think you had problems too. I glanced over on the launch and saw the under carriage of your car then you faded and passed me when I clicked my car at just past half track. Thanks Ed

Re: Question for Ed Wright
You had an .036 light and a 1.44 60'. I had a .048 with a 1.34 60'. Mine failed to shift, and still don't know why. I disconnected my tach from the MSD tach output " just in case", don't really need it anyway.
Hope you got everything fixed OK. Even with the temps, if the starting line was any better, I couldn't stand it.

Re: Question for Ed Wright
Thanks Ed...The Dart is fine. I got looking at the Cornhusker Raceway Park pictures closer and The lime green Chevelle of Gary Vincent's was a C/S car then, so than must have been 1970 or 1971. I was racing the Roadrunner in G/S at the time and also had a P/S 62 Catalina. Oh yes.........7 inch tires. What fun. The really fast guys around there in Stock (I am sure I will miss spell some names and leave some out) were Fred Anderson, Garber and Daveny, John Wilson, Eddie Rezac, and Richard Charbaneou. I was just a kid fresh out of the Army then.....where has all the time gone?

Re: Question for Ed Wright
I knew my 60' was not any good, the car spun and the front end stayed on the ground. (Obviously it stayed on the ground if I could see the under carriage of your car.......ha ha) thanks again

Re: Question for Ed Wright
The guys I talked to most "up there" were Eddie Rezac and Herman Chapman. Saw the others you mentioned, all fast, just never got to know them. Wonder if Herman Chapman is still with us? Always enjoyed visiting with him and his wife. Judy Lilly didn't seem to feel the same? Don't know why. Some friction there.

Re: Question for Ed Wright
How could I forget Herman Chapman. Really fast and would ground tow his Chevelle.

Re: Question for Ed Wright
Herman was really fast, and seemed like a no-tricks guy. None you could see, anyway.
