Re: Factory X
I haven't read enough about it. Are they going to go old school carberated or will it be new school FI and traction control?

Re: Factory X
I don't have the specifics at hand, but power will be limited to one specific engine per badge. Ford is 2018 (?) supercharged CJ motor with a specified HP rating and drive belt combo. Rich mans crate engine class. Not sure what the rules are for body style and year. Must be a corporate match, though. Thunderbolt with this motor would be worth watching.

Re: Factory X
There was another thread that discussed this class. It is in the Factory Stock and Super Stock section.
Go to NHRAracer and on the left click on the rules page. When on that page scroll down to the Exhibition rules section. The class is for 2019 and newer Ford, Chevy and Mopar cars as in COPO, DRAG PACK and COBRA JETS. The class is on pages 48 thru 58, I believe. This class should be very cool to watch if NHRA doesn't mess it up as they have other Pro class

Re: Factory X
I just checked the Comp Eliminator index chart.
Guess what boys and girls we have an index for A/FX as of today - 7.45. This should get interesting now.

Re: Factory X
At 2650 lbs, the cars are about 1000 lbs lighter than the Factory Stock Showdown cars.

Re: Factory X
I really love the idea, with some exceptions. Huge problem is the price tag to play! NHRA really making it difficult for heads up racing to be anything but a huge money spend. This class fits in between Pro Stock & Factory Stock Showdown, so that leads to one or both of those classes suffering, if and only if this class succeeds. Who races in those classes with success? $
