Replay tach box
I know I have seen this device in one of the performance parts catalogs but cannot find it now. It is a electronic box you can wire into your tach that will make it a replay tach. Anyone familiar with this item, and who has them? Tried the tech people at Jegs, and Summit with no success. Thanks Lyn

I had this one ordered but they were out of stock with no idea of when they could deliver. They are listed with different software levels that have different features. Last edited by HR3128; 11-30-2021 at 06:58 PM. |

Re: Replay tach box
The unit I was looking for was less than $50. and it just replayed the tach on the last run. It did not have any timers. Thanks for the info though.

Re: Replay tach box
Lynn, I know I had an old Autometer playback module that piggybacks a conventional Tach to make it playback . Not sure if it came with me when I moved across Canada, but I will take a look in the garage tomorrow.

Re: Replay tach box
Sounds like an Autometer 9150 playbox box. Black box with 4 small buttons. It's unavailable but I saw it at north of $200. It has been replaced by Autometer 5312 Digital Shift Light Controller L1. Does the same as what you are looking for at $139.
You could do tach/shift/playback in one unit with a Level 3 Digital Shift Light at $250. Good luck finding anything that works for anything at a $50 price point.

Re: Replay tach box
Lyn, I did dig out my Autometer playback box, as mentioned, it has part number 9150, when I googled that number, it showed up on Summit Racings site, at $269. , but not available. No idea about a $50.00 item that would be like that.

Re: Replay tach box
Finally found a older Summit catalog that had the Tach recall kit that I was looking for part number sum-800100-1 for $37.97. Will post a picture when I get a chance.

Re: Replay tach box
From what I just saw on the summit site it said it only recalls peak rpm and does not record a whole run. Wish it would have worked cause our autometer ultimate tach only records for 20 seconds. If you or the other guy takes his time staging it times out about 1200 ft mark.
