Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
I had to go to a transmission shop to get some gaskets and a few small stock parts. If you run a trans that has not been made for a while, I would suggest getting one or two cores just for parts.

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Good news. We got new stronger parts from ProTrans, Joel’s on Joy installed and tested. Installed trans in car and it ran the same. We went four rounds at the local track in foot brake. I forgot about the stripe taker on the front of my competition.
Change oil, adjust valves, and head to Belle Rose later this month. |

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Dumbo liked the Louisiana air, best run was the 9.125 @ 145.xx. It’s been a long journey but I think I’m close to done.

Larry, you should know better than to say things like that! When you're "done" then it's time to move on to another project!

Hi Larry-nice to see solid progress! Was the 9:12/145 at FS/D weight?

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Hey Larry or Chris,
What did Dumbo weigh (including Larry) on that 145mph pass? Trying to refer to my original notes with Larry about testing stuff. Good job down there in the swamps for sure. Thanks in advance, HB2 Dissident |
