Default 1983 Camaro Wiring

Looking for a stock wire harness for a 1983 Camaro V8 carb car or does anyone know these cars well enough to know which other year harnesses work? This car doesn't have the junction block on the radiator support by the battery. Car is not all there sort of speak. Wire harness in car has been cut. No lights on the dash with battery in car. Thanks.

Get rid of all the old wiring and put a K&R wiring system in there. All that old stuff is just trouble waiting to happen.

Brian, does the car need to be street legal with everything working? Or is it a race car? There will be a big difference between wiring the two options.

Street legal. I live near Union Grove now so it will be something to drive out there and race no box or street. Fun stuff.

Brian, in the case of it being a streetcar, where all lights and systems need to work, a factory harness is best.

Also, what will you do about the carb and ignition?

My suggestion is to replace the computer-controlled Q-jet and the computer-controlled timing with conventional parts

That's a new source to me thanks. Using old 207 Q jet and large cap HEI. Ecklers, American Auto Wire, and Ricks couldn't help me with a new harness.

If you can find a complete, factory takeout harness, that would be the easiest option. The link I sent is a good possibility and he will know the interchange years.
