Default ASRA Race #5 / #6 & shoot out

Sat Aug 3rd NED will be race # 5 , this will determine the top 16 shootout and be the VP fuel race #2 sponsored by NED . If time permits we will run the shootout after the completion of the race time permitted. Sunday Aug 4th will be race #6 our final season race and determining our champions . If necessary and time permits we could finish the shootout . Lots of good stuff , see ya at New England Dragway Aug 3rd & 4th.

Default Re: ASRA Race #5 / #6 & shoot out

Additional information for this weekend's racing at New England Dragway.
With some luck, we hope to dodge enough rain drops to get all racing in. Wanted to give some advance notice on scenarios that could play out:

If racing comes to a halt on Saturday after completing 1 or 2 rounds, the intention will be to complete this race on Sunday and race #6 will be postponed to a later date.

If racing is able to progress into the late rounds (ex: weather halts racing in the semifinals) on Saturday, the plan would be to complete the remaining rounds during time trials on Sunday and still have race #6 on Sunday.

Decisions on the shoot-out will be dependent on how things progress over the weekend. We'll communicate updates as things develop. If there is no weather impact, the shoot-out will start Saturday night at completion of Race #5 once the field is set and conclude on Sunday (just as we did last year).

New England Dragway has been very willing to work with us and be as flexible as possible which is greatly appreciated. We need to keep in mind that they have their normal points programs this weekend that we are running in conjunction with.

The BOD would like to thank everyone's patience and flexibility as we head into what we hope is our final weekend of racing. Things are likely to be dynamic and we'll do our best to keep everyone up to speed on current situation and decision making.

Thanks!
