No Problem Points Race
Mardi Gras is the Tuesday before No Problem. If anyone is interested, you might leave your car at No Problem and get a ride somehow to Houma 45 miles. Full day of parades, food and a lot of fun. I think we have room to park your can and catch all the excitement. Working on my beer box right now. Need 2 degrees lower. Let me know. jefft@southlanddodge.com

Re: No Problem Points Race
2 degrees lower as in temperature?
The freezing point of beer always depends on its alcohol content, it generally freezes at around 28 degrees Fahrenheit. Beer is averagely between 6 and 20 proof. For reference, 24 proof liquor freezes at 20 degrees, 64 proof liquor freezes at -23 degrees, and 84 proof liquor freezes at -30 degrees. In practical terms, this means that most freezers are cold enough to freeze beer. The freezing point of ethanol, or drinking alcohol, is -173 degrees Fahrenheit, and the freezing point of water is 32 degrees Fahrenheit. The more alcohol a beverage has, the lower its freezing point is. Some stronger beers, such as barley wines and imperial stouts, are around 24 proof, but they still have a low enough alcohol content to freeze. Excessively cold temperatures mask the flavors of good beer, so there is nothing to be gained from storing beer in the freezer |

Might need flotation device and a tether so your beverage will not float away

Re: No Problem Points Race
Mike Gray, I can attest to the qualifications and experiences that Mr. Jeff possesses. The accuracy of his temperature is so defined that the possibility of beer freezing would be a rare occurrence. To say it best, Mr. Jeff is a "Beer Consumer Extraordinaire"

Re: No Problem Points Race
Anyone heading in this direction can leave their rig at No Problem and catch a ride to Houma for Monday or Tuesday. Sunday is daytime parade; about 600 riders and a good parade. Monday night is Krewe Of Cleaopatra with 680 Women in large floats and lots of a good time, Tuesday is Krewe of Houmas followed by the Krewe of Cajuns; about 40 floats. We will be cooking the whole day Tuesday. Everyone is welcome, please let us know on here or whatever.
