Default #1 Stop

Interested in Super Comp setups with an electric stop with similar WOT performance...

APD Carburetors make thier Maxspeed carburetors with an integral throttle stop built in and they have no restriction. They are a bit pricey though.
Gary at #1 Stops makes an excellent product(s) that work well.
I would talk to him about an air (Co2) operated stop that allows you to control the opening rate which reduces wheel spin when the stop comes off.
Tell him Billy Baer with the Midwest Super Comp Series sent ya.

Bill, thanks for the reply.

Got the electric #1 stop and competed in Super Comp at the Atco divisional, 2 weeks ago.

The #1 stop worked great. We ran 182MPH and vary/creep 50 RPM on the stop! Racepak graphs were just about perfect.

Those in attendance that have been advising me, guys who have won both divisional and national events tell me, we did great and had the car running with the best on the property despite it being a very different track/weather on Saturday compared to Friday.

The crew chief, ME, blew the timer call on Saturday.

Looking forward to our next divisional.

I second the suggestion to look into the Mid Atlantic .90 series. Great group of racers and very helpful in getting practice for Divisionals.
