Re: Santhuff or Fast Shocks
Jeff Jewel, thanks for the info sir. Sounds like you've had some experiences like mine. Beautiful car, on and off the track. Your car has picture perfect launches. I remember pitting next to you years ago at Englishtown. You and your wife were very kind to us. Nice to meet great people like you in our sport. Guess some times you just have to bite the bullet and spend the money for good quality parts.

Re: Santhuff or Fast Shocks
Santhuff is what you need. I have a gen 1 Camaro and I have Santhuff fronts on it. They will stop that issue for sure. They aren’t cheap but will fix your issue. Mine was similar to yours. Big wheel stands and tires scrubbing the inner wheel wells. Been running the Santuff shocks for about 15 years now. You have to do some fabrication on the lower a arms to get them to fit. I highly recommended them.

Re: Santhuff or Fast Shocks
You almost wrote my story with your experience. 3-4 foot wheelstands clicking the 60' clocks and even carrying the front end out to 300'.....but what goes up must come down and when it did there were issues. The Afcos were useless on both my stocker and super stocker even after dynoed and revalved. The Calvert front shocks were just waaayy too loose and I had to get it under control. PMR put Santhuffs on the cars and .....problem solved. I still have niced controlled wheelstands on both cars but they touch down like a 737 with a long runway.....expensive...but in my case very much worth it. Call Tony or Phil Mandella (909) 941-7800 to get this fixed.

Re: Santhuff or Fast Shocks
Santhuff shocks are the answer to controlling wheelstands ,and more importantly , landing after a wheelstand .
Yes, there are other shocks that have valving that does do a good job, Santhuff's seem to do it much smoother and with greater adjustability . Both Eric Merryfield and Jeff Jewell are customers who have had success with Santuff shocks . ...Jeff's dad Larry's Vette is in my shop right now getting a pair installed that were purchased from Rinehart Performance . I recommend Santhuffs for all my Stock/ Super Stock builds not only for the launch /landing aspect of their performance ,but also because they are effective in helping control the dreaded "Radial Wobble"

Re: Santhuff or Fast Shocks
If you can move some weight to the middle of the car to help tame the wheelstand. About the crossmember should work. It should carry the wheelstand instead of dropping out.

Re: Santhuff or Fast Shocks
Lincoln Morehead's Camaro wheelstands and lands as well as any car I've ever seen.

Re: Santhuff or Fast Shocks
Randy is the best with afcos. You won’t be disappointed.
