Default NED crowd

Jack Matyas mentioned the crowd at NED on Saturday. People should know those folks paid 30 bucks a head. The track manager deserves kudos for bringing in such a good crowd.

Just from a fans prospective, the reason fan get up and leave when s/ss run is because nhra organizes the races that way. Think about at e-town this year all the signings were when the sportsmen are running. Big daddy was running in stock but he wasn't in the booth for stock eliminations but he was for the fuel cars. Perhaps if you put him up there to talk about what it takes to build and run a class car people would pay a little more attention. Nhra needs to put a little more effort into the sportsmen program in the end everybody will win with more exposure.

Tell ya what.. there are race fans in New England.. I got there on Wednesday afternoon to set up for testing on Thursday.. NED was opening for Street Night.. the crowd was huge, I couldn't believe it.. people walking around the pits like it was a major event.. and then during the D1 race, the crowd was great.. CONGRATS to New England Dragway for putting on and great event, regardless of the heat, and thanks to the fans for coming out..

There are some great fans up there , and the size of the crowd was impressive.
I had a lot of them stop by looking at the Vette and asking questions.
I even saw a good number of spectators in the stands when Super Gas was running, prior to the BIG SHOW.
The two announcer deal works well , much more entertaining than the usual one announcer just reading ET'S and telling you which sponsors lane won and not the racers name.
Once they got the hang of some of the unfamiliar names ,[and some amusing pronunciations] they did a really good job.

A little pavement, some more lighting and more speakers in the pits and they're as good as any of the big name tracks.

Tom, I have to agree with you, I too, thought that the two announcers worked well, sort of like a radio station with multiple dj's. Perhaps other tracks can pick up on that. Yes some of the pronunciations were amusing. Overall a good time.

Brian and Bill, the two announcers work very well together. They make an entertaining pair.

NO-ONE left they're seats on Saturday night when the Super Stockers came out.
BY far one of the best ideas to shuffle the run-order to include SS in the show,
They deserved to be part of it, and the spectators got to see ONE GREAT SHOW!

Thanks to all the racers that braved the heat and made the trek to New England, and to those that did, they now know what we have to do to go south to race!
Again Thanks to everyone for coming!

Special Thanks again to the Staff and Management of New England Dragway for what they had to do to satisfy everyone this weekend!

It's been 20 years, Welcome Back!
