Media bias
All forms of media are controlling the news content that we see and some of it is unsubstantiated crap and the left loves it.
How the hell are they getting away will censoring voices they deem unacceptable? This is a HUGE problem in America. Last edited by Frank Castros; 01-14-2021 at 11:37 AM. |

Re: Media bias
This is a media bias chart.
I find it interesting and from personal observation probably pretty accurate: https://www.adfontesmedia.com/intera...-bias-chart-2/ This is a lot on it but you can filter by particular organizations for a snapshot of that source. I personally don't want to get my news from an organization that only tells me what I want to hear. Free speech and censorship is and always will be a subject of concern in the United States. The basis being the old "yelling fire in a crowed theater" example. Last edited by 340Cuda; 01-14-2021 at 11:52 AM. |

Re: Media bias
Bill,
Thanks for posting this chart, but are we to trust it? I don't trust anything I read or hear anymore because it seems everything has a hidden bias. |

Re: Media bias
Frank,
That is an excellent point. I looked at the ratings for several sources and based on my impressions they seemed plausible. Bill |

Re: Media bias
The most trustworthy is the Weather Channel, interesting.
FNN, Newsmax, brightbart, OAN, NY Post, the blaze all on the same level as R/T (the english language russian propaganda channel) and on the same level, slate the raw story, etc... havn't heard of most of the lefties rags. So its about time to listen to the regular news and not the spin machines. Later taters, Willian Sands |

Re: Media bias
Not the New York Times, they bring bias to another level.

Re: Media bias
Frank, the TARDLINGS attempt to control and condition the minds of our youngsters as early as kindergarten. It’s not the childrens fault, they don’t know any better. The media with its LEFT spin on everything attempts to sway us more experienced folks. It will only get worse .......

Re: Media bias
Frank, THERE IS NO MEDIA in this country.
Ever since the Viet Nam War, the news ,including the esteemed Walter Cronkite started to drift towards the anti-war left. Along came Watergate, and then every young twit who came out of J-school, wanted to be the new Woodward and Bernstein . Couple that with the brainwashing of our young in college, by left-over 60's radical commie loving "professors" , and you have the current situation. Thankfully the left got snookered by Rush and AM talk, before they could shut it down. Fox News prospered as the alternative news. When they went wobbly, Newsmax, OAN filled the void. The mainstream used to do investigative journalism. Remember the crooked auto shop expose' on 60 Minutes?... No more. When James O'Keefe and Project Veritas exposed the butchers at PP selling body parts, the Left put HIM in jail. As divided as we are now , I don't see his scenario changing anytime soon.

Re: Media bias
We all know how the media plays abbreviated sound bites of President Trump intended to shed a negative light on his message and many times out of context.
I have yet to see anyone play a sound bite of the speech from his rally of January 6th or am I wrong. They also haven't to my knowledge estimated the number of supporters present. The President claims it was 250,000. I have read the entire transcript of the speech and although it is filled with his usual rhetoric it is without him encouraging them to march on the Capitol in an aggressive manner. 1) I will say this, in my opinion the rally was a bad idea because it would further divided the country and it did. 2) He should have addressed the nation live that very evening to denounce the violence and formally concede the election to re-unite the nation. 3) He should have never thrown Mike Pence under the bus and to the wolves. Pence was his greatest ally and Trump was asking him to do something that is unconstitutional. 4) He finally denounced the violence by a video recording and 27 hours later! 5) To my knowledge he has not personally reached out to the families of the deceased Capitol Police. In a nutshell ,as a fervent supporter of his, I'm extremely disappointed in his response to the event and his lack of leadership. That's it, I'm done with this and other related threads. |
