TNT 10.90 Double-Header weekend rescheduled at TMP

Extremely wet conditions forced cancellation of Sep 13-14 event

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (September 16, 2008) Mother Nature was not cooperative at Toronto Motorsports Park (TMP) last weekend and the Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series 10.90/8.90 weekend has been postponed. The weekend was to be an action-packed event with THREE 10.90 races and at least ONE Scott Jahren Paint TNT 8.90 event.

After torrential rain on Friday night, TMP crews worked hard drying the track all morning Saturday - only to have the skies open up around 2pm and put an end to the day. And with the forecast for Sunday indicating even worse conditions, the entire event was cancelled. “We weren’t going to take a chance and have the racers drive here again on Sunday when the odds were against us…especially with the cost of fuel these days,” said Ted Barnes, TNT Series Director.

Two of the 10.90 races will be run on Saturday Sept 27th at TMP presented by Bieda’s Powersports. Race #1 will pay $500/win (minimum) and Race #2 will pay $1000/win – both guaranteed! “Car counts are expected to be strong given the ‘double-header’ structure of this event – potentially pushing the $500/win payout for Race #1 even higher,” added Ted. Qualifying begins at 11am so get there early.

The third 10.90 race and the Scott Jahren Paint 8.90 event dates are currently being determined…So don’t put your stuff away just yet!

The final US event on the 2008 Joe’s Transmission TNT 10.90 Super Series schedule is Friday October 3rd at Dunn Tire Raceway Park in Lancaster, New York.

DATE CHANGE - Sat Sep 27 cancelled - Double-header 10.90 race to be run Sat Oct 4 at TMP!
