Re: New HP posted
I must have confused something. I didn't think you could apply for a
H.P. reduction if your combo had already received horsepower. J.R. |

Re: New HP posted
Which combo received the refund of HP that was penalized recently? Just curious as I have no idea.

Re: New HP posted
The sad part of this is, in three engine NHRA did not follow the rules, ie. the most reduction a combo can receive on a request is 2.25% with any part of a fraction being rounded up to the next number.
Three engines with incorrect Hp reduction are 287hp x2.25%= 6.4575 rounded up to 7 hp. 287 -7 = 280 hp not the 279 hp showed. 255hp x 2.25% = 5.7375 hp rounded up to 6hp. 255 -6 =249 hp not the 245hp showed. 207hp x 2.25% = 4.6575 Hp rounded up to 5hp. 207- 5 = 202 hp not the 201 showed. Two out of the three mistakes could be typos but not the reduction of 10 hp on the 255 hp engine with a reduction of ten hp Like my friend Al would say “ It doesn’t cost a thing to pay attention “ A 10 hp reduction on the 255 hp engine is 3.91% reduction the largest reduction listed is 2.25%, go figure ! Re: New HP posted
A 10 hp reduction was because of a previous clerical error. Not a basic reduction in horsepower request.

Re: New HP posted
The AHFS is a program based on actual run data compiled from all available runs at NHRA national events. The data-based format provides the ability to calculate average performances for any class and/or engine combination in Stock and Super Stock. The trigger point for the system is 1.00-second or more under the respective index, and must be produced on two different occasions. Engine-combination averages and class averages are then computed and analyzed to determine if a change is warranted. The amount of change is calculated on a stepped percentage basis. Where applicable, adjustments will be effective for the specific car model or body style being evaluated. An automatic adjustment is instituted outside the two-time a year process when a 1.20 and under run is recorded during any NHRA event.
Does the last sentence in the above paragraph end the not in play AHFS at National Opens? |

Re: New HP posted
Larry, would the first sentence make it run data only from "Nhra National
Events" ? J.R. |
