Default Payouts Poll

I wanted to put this on FB, but they don't seem to allow polls on organization pages yet.

We are trying to tie down exactly what the racers are expecting as payouts for these types of races. We know we wont be able to make every single person perfectly happy, but we want to get a little input so we can try and attract some people to travel and make sure the racers are going to show up.

As explained in a comment on my introduction post on FB here is a little bit about the entry fees we are looking at for 2017:

Entry fees are a little dependent on the track, both have different gate fees.

Tucson Dragway is looking like a $30 gate fee and Wild Horse Pass is looking like a $40 gate fee. Unless something drastically changes between now and the beginning of the 2017 season, you will pay the gate fee to the track and then there will be a $50 entry at the Arizona Stock/Super Stock Association table (total TD $80-- WHP $90). We have no control over the gate fee, but felt like a $50 entry on our side was the only way to make payouts worth while. Every penny of the $50 part paid to us will go back to the racers purse, we're not looking to make a profit at all!

This will obviously mean the race purses are dependent on the amount of cars that show up. The more we can convince the better for everyone! We are also trying to attain a small race sponsor for each of our races and will be allocating some of the series sponsor monies towards the race purses.

Now that you, have a little background on what we're working on our question to all of you is:

How many cars would you expect to get money and how much do you expect the winner to go home with assuming a 17-22 car field. 5th choice please comment below if you feel at 17-22 cars more than 4 cars should be paid and how it would effect the winner's take in your eyes

We obviously hope we get more car than this but we would like to get input on this first. Please leave a comment on your answer for the same question, but change the car count to 35-40 cars!

Thanks

One thing I liked a whole lot better about stock car racing is that the payout is so much more spread out. Makes the finances a lot better for everyone but a very, very few.

I help with the combo races (stock, super stock) at our local track, Pacific Raceway in Kent, Wa.

The cost to enter the track is $40 and the race fee is $60, seems to be well received by the racers. The added $10 over your proposed $50 gives you an extra $170 to disperse in a 17 car field, and obviously goes up from there. Just something to think about.
