Default Carter AFB question

Buddy just purchased a 69 383 charger.
He’s asking me how to increase the secondary opening rate.
I’ve never messed with an afb, is what he wants possible?
If so what’s the procedure?

Is it an AFB or AVS. The stock carb was AVS. If you make it too fast the car will bog.

I’ll get a look at it.
I’m going off of what I was told.

Yes it should be an AVS,

Up next to the air valve, on the side you either increase or decrease the spring tension.
