Re: Jacket and pants recommendations
The Sparco web site says the MAXX-SPORT Light Pro SFI-5 jacket and pants are 1lb 13oz each 3lbs 10oz combined. I should receive my Pro1 Pro 1 Multi Layer Nomex 3-2A/5 jacket and pants tomorrow and will weigh them and post if no one else responds. My UPS tracking shows my package is 3lbs so I'm curious as well now.

Re: Jacket and pants recommendations
Sorry to hear about your jacket and pants dilemma. I love the Alpinestars brand for motorcycle gear, as their jackets and pants are comfortable and protective. As for sizing, it's always best to check the brand's size chart and measure yourself to ensure a proper fit. I haven't tried RCI gear before, so I can't compare, but a double-layer bag can be a bit warmer and heavier but provides more protection. I've also had good experiences buying UK men's tuxedos at https://happygentleman.com/product-c...-tuxedo-suits/. I wish you the best of luck and all the best.

Re: Jacket and pants recommendations
I really liked my Sparco single-layer stuff, but I replaced it with Pro1.
The Pro1 waistband is great. Snap closure and velcro adjustable sizing. I can definitely see an argument against snaps on a firesuit but if you're in a situation where that's a problem, it's just one more of many problems.

Re: Jacket and pants recommendations
I'm guessing that this thread was brought back by a bot or something? I mean, someone is suddenly sorry to hear about Doug Domm's pants and jacket dilemma from 2 years ago?
I don't know anything about this bot (or whatever) stuff. What is the angle? There's nothing to click on in the post. |

Re: Jacket and pants recommendations
Don't know which are lighter, but I hav Pro1 harness, jacket, and pants. I love the pants because they have 2 snaps and velcro side straps so I can snug them up after I get them on my fat *****.
