You don't. The integrity has to come from people above tech. Because tech has to be allowed to actually enforce the rules. People, and parts, have to be thrown out. not let slide.

What do we do? Go back to points? Disclaimer: I haven't raced Stock in 25 years. I usually don't comment on threads that involve current racing. I couldn't help myself here. But, not having a dog in this fight, I'm gone... Last edited by Dave Gantz; 10-25-2020 at 04:42 PM. |

Re: What Stock rules would you change?
If that happened then the bracket class/cars would become the new NHRA sportsman racers IF they decided to keep racing. I hope it never happens but there is always that chance. A lot of guys said that would NEVER happen with the IHRA. And look what happened to Modified elim. Yeah, we ended up with S/C and S/G plus S/ST at some National event races.

Re: What Stock rules would you change?
Yes I did. Now don't laugh I raced a 1953 Ford Flat Head in N/S back in the stone age (1964). .Gee I missed out on the $300 dollar entry fees and the $100 car number crap ! I raced in SS/IA at the Sports Nationals. That was in the early 1980's. Today I have a 1934 Chevy 3 window steel bodied street rod now with all the good stuff. A/C, Power Windows, Leather interior, coil over suspension, Rack and pinion steering, and a ZZ4 crate engine, 700-R4 trams and a 9 inch Ford rear. Its less work and less $$$$ to go to the car shows so do I miss drag racing???? Yes but not all the BS and expense that you have to deal with today.

Re: What Stock rules would you change?
So what relevance does your opinion have here? Sounds like you should stick to car shows and stuff like that.
