Default dbl breakout tie ...

If it is a tie to the forth decimal -- how is the winner determined?

-.0012 to -.0012 under their dial-in.

Maybe under first or worst rule - the first to finish line wins?

I believe the clocks go to 9th digit or first with better reaction time.

I believe the computer can calculate to one billionth but I am sure the track lights are not capable of measuring that small an increment of time.

No since discussing here.

At any rate - You are saying - if it ends up a tie - no matter the level of precision the better light wins .. interesting

Your original question stated both cars dialed under the same amount. So better light would win. Now if total package including reaction was .012 under then the 5th or more digit determined winner

No - not at all

I said if they both broke out by the same amount -- not dial under.

For get it - it is not important in the grand scheme of things.

No one really cares
