Default Race Results, Points, and Shoot-Out Updates

With the conclusion of races #4 and #5, there are multiple updates as we have one weekend of racing remaining in the 2022 ASRA Season.

The Steve and Beth Broadbent memorial race was completed under sunny skies at New England Dragway on Sunday, August 20th with 64 cars showing up. Tom Boucher claimed victory for the third time this year with Mike Ganci driving his way to the RU finish. Eric Cabral and Henry Specht were the semi-finalists. Special thanks to the Broadbent family for supporting the event. It was a great tribute to two great people. Also thanks to Jim Boudreau and others anonymous donors that added to the purse. The winner went home with $2800 which is one of the biggest ASRA purses we've had!

Day 2 of the weekend's action concluded with Eric Cabral taking the win over Tony Fillipone. George Mirza and Jim Whitehead were the semi-finalists. Congrats to Eric Cabral on the victory. Also thanks to the many racers that came out to support ASRA. We had fields of 64 and 60 over the 2 days. Also, another big thank you to Jim Boudreau for the extra $500 to the winner of each race.

The top 4 point earners over the two days were Eric Cabral, Tom Boucher, Jim Whitehead, and Tony Fillipone. They will each be receiving a $100 gift certificate for VP race fuel. Special thanks to the Cultrera Family and Eastern VP Fuel Sales for supporting this program.

Points have been updated and can be found here

The winners of our various special programs have also been udpated on our website here

With 5 races in the books, the field has been set for the 2022 Shoot-Out presented by Gutters by Design. Special thanks to Tim Stickles for his support of the shoot-out again this year. Ladder can be found on our website here. The shoot-out will be held Saturday, September 10th at Lebanon Valley Dragway followed by the last race of the season on the 11th.

Lastly, a big congratulations to Tom Boucher for securing the 2022 championship after winning 3 of the first 5 races. This is Tom's 3rd ASRA championship to go along with his titles in 1988 and 1999.

Will there be a Gamblers race on Saturday September 10th?

In the past we used to have a "Gamblers Race" for those attending for the weekend Starting at the conclusion of the "Second Round of the Shootout?
