Mid Atlantic .90 Series - Race # 1 & 2 - Cecil Co.
The Mid Atlantic Super Series will kick off the 2024 season at Cecil County Dragway featuring the .90 Classes of Super Comp, Gas & Street along with Juniors, Top 32 (16 TS & 16 TD), Gamblers Race and Stock / SS Combo. This is two races in one weekend and the weekend following the Lucas Oil Series Race, you may leave your rigs at the track in between the Lucas Race to the MA Race. Some have asked if they can stay on premise at the track during the week and due to the fact that the track is closed you would need to find somewhere to hang out till the gates re-open on Friday.
Gates will open at 5pm on Friday Night for the Friday Night Street Night / T&T Racing 6pm-10pm. Racers $30 each, No Time $40 each, Crew and Spectators $15 each - this applies even if you are just coming into park for the night, have to remember it's just like you're coming in to watch on a Friday Night. Gates will open at 8am on Saturday & Sunday and the plan is to be Hot with Juniors for TT1 at 9am. Plan is 2 TT on Saturday and 1 TT on Sunday Rotation as of right now: Juniors Super Street Super Comp MA Stock / SS Super Gas Top Dragster Top Sportsman Gamblers Race (Gambles will get 1 TT and into R1 - Gamblers are run 1/8mile) Dana and I have been working during the off-season to find the best process, with many companies, to make your life easier. We still have other projects in the works for your experience at the track. We were going to make the announcement at the banquet over the weekend but with NHRA D1 announcement last week we figured we’d just do it now since most of you have now downloaded the Application. We are on WhatsApp to send all updates once you are signed up, with this App you will get: Schedules Gate times Run order Ladders Calls to the lanes (for those tracks you can’t hear the PA system) Schedule updates & changes Weather updates Super Street https://chat.whatsapp.com/CuFJnIeWaUvCJKFTDua2Zv Super Comp https://chat.whatsapp.com/LMvMA2gSWaR1CI8DBGuuOQ Super Gas https://chat.whatsapp.com/KwLfhJbhcSR9o9kHgLlqmP The chat section will be turned off and only posts by Dana & I you will see. If you have a concern or question, please come see one of us one on one. Any questions please reach out to me at BKSG1198@gmail.com or 856-332-2851 |

Re: Mid Atlantic .90 Series - Race # 1 & 2 - Cecil Co.
One of the biggest requests I receive over the years is if we can have an RFC presence at our events. Many racers enjoy the calming feeling of prayer before a run down the track or to ease the nerves before a final round. We’re proud to add D1 Chaplain Kevin Cooke to our team for 2024. Kevin will be floating through the staging lanes providing prayer and guidance for all our racers. Kevin will also be doing Sunday Morning church service beginning at 7:30 am in the grandstands for all racers to attend! The only race Kevin will not be at will be the August Pig Roast (the best race right??…but Kevin is looking for coverage for that race. Thanks Kevin & RFC for all the support!

Re: Mid Atlantic .90 Series - Race # 1 & 2 - Cecil Co.
If you are attending this weekend’s LODRS at Cecil County and also planning to run the Mid Atlantic race the following weekend, Jim is allowing us to leave your rigs at the track to save on travel and costs of going back and forth. I actually don't work at Cecil but, trying to give as much info as possible so everyone is on point and knows what is going on.
The Mid Atlantic race (May 18-19) there is no set / reserved parking spots for the weekend but be smart about where you park and no crime scene tape stretching a whole row of cars, or if you know someone has multiple cars don’t squeeze them in so they don’t have room. We are all there to have fun and enjoy ourselves during a fun time at the racetrack and the track is gracious enough to allow us to do so! Gates open at 5pm that Friday the 17th for those of you who want to re-enter, the track is NOT OPEN DURING THE WEEK, SO YOU CANNOT STAY IN BETWEEN THE WEEK. There are a few campgrounds a few miles from the track. Bar Habor RV Park - 410-679-0880 OMA's Family Campground - 717-529-2020 So be courteous of your neighbors, clean up after yourself (If you need a trash bag, come find me and I'll give you one) and if you need RV clean out by the time the MA race comes around, I will work on getting that set up. Re: Mid Atlantic .90 Series - Race # 1 & 2 - Cecil Co.
Good morning all!
This is not the post I was hoping to have to make on this Thursday but, we are cancelled for the weekend and Race # 1 & 2. We looked at many different weather sites / apps, talked with Jimmy & his crew and even though Sunday looks clear, there looks to be a heavy amount of rain that will fall on Saturday and history has shown a lot of racers will not travel for a Sunday 1 day event (even a 2 day event we lose 20% of racers in good weather). We all know everyone is counting Penny’s these days to go racing and sitting in the rain is not fun. We held off as late as possible to make this call hoping Mother Nature might change her attitude but, all for not and many other tracks have also thrown in the towel for this weekend. Trust me I know we all want to race, we’re frustrated and this was NOT an easy call either way. Those of you who left your trailers following the LODRS race, the gates will be open on Friday 9am to 10pm to come pick them up or 9am to 3pm on Saturday. If those times don’t work you will need to contact Jim or Chad. We do appreciate you all who were planning to come this weekend but Mother Nature is just not wanting us to play. As far as any make up dates, the Juniors we will adjust the races counted and do 3 out of 4, .90 & Top 32 we will now count 6 of your best 8 towards the championship, the Stock / SS series we are looking for an alternate date but haven’t decided on it yet, we’d hate to run a championship on 2 races in August. Next race on the schedule will be at Maple Grove Raceway on June 29th & 30th and will feature just the .90 & Top 32 classes. Juniors will also be there but this will be apart of MG points. Have a great weekend all! 😤😤😤😤😤 Rob Keister 856-332-2851 |
