Default 425 trans problem

Went to move my 1 ton tk (84 Chev) and the trans started making a dragging noise, in N or P no noise. In R, D and L I hear the noise. trans has deep pan and cooler and is full on stick.Would appreciate any input......................Thanks

And I did look under to see if anything was up inside the bell housing.
