Default Galot S/G index

How did they pick the 8.55 index for super gas at the divisional at Galot. Looks like bias to me. I am not going, but I don't under stand why it is so slow for 1000 ft racing. Good for the fast cars on the stop, they don't have to change there numbers.

From what I heard from a few people, they took a few peoples time slips and looked at the 1,000 foot time and came up with a middle ground for the index. This is what a few people who were down at the first one told me.

Well 8.55 is pretty slow 1000ft. If you look at a super stocker running 9.90, they are around 8.2X seconds. The 8.55 is closer to the extreme high horse power cars, that use a lot of throttle stop. I
