C4 ffford question
I have a truck c4 (pan fill not case fill) and I want to order a converter, question is, are all pan filled c4’s 26 spline or did they vary between 24 and 26 depending on year?(like the case filled ones do)
I have a 3000 stall in it now, but that was put in, in 1994 or so and I don’t remember what I installed. (Thinking 26 but I’m not ready to rip it apart yet) Thanks |

Re: C4 ffford question
In 1970, Ford went from a 24 spline to a 26 spline. Do you know what year the trans is?

Re: C4 ffford question
24 spline 64 to 69 transmissions have a vent tube attached to the rear servo, 70 and up have the vent on top of the extension housing. This works except for some 70 transmissions, usually just Falcon ones.

Re: C4 ffford question
I don't know the year but it would be in the 70's I'm pretty sure. Sounds like it is 26 spline then and I think that's what I remember too.
Thanks guys, I'll check the other c4 I have too, I think it's a 1980 case fill buried somewhere under a snow covered tarp, lol. |
