rear gear ratio?
I have a 67 camaro that weighs 3160 with a 400 and the cam is good to 7200. and the car haves a 456 in it now. I was think about a 513 or 538 with tire size 29/50 by 10/50 wide. do you all think it will pull to the 1/4? thanks.

Re: rear gear ratio?
I am putting in a 12 bolt with 4.88s. With 29" slicks, I expect 7000 rpm in the 1/4.
It was in my friend Gregg Pickens' 68 Camaro. With 28x9 slicks, he was at 7200 rpm with his 468 running ~10.80s. Clark |

Re: rear gear ratio?
I've got a '68 Nova with a 355/Glide combo. I run 4:88s and with a 10.5 x 29.5 Phoenix tire, I go through the lights at 7200, if that helps.
