Stii have production in 2 facilities in California. Not a surprise for Office employees, since the sale of the company to a conglomerate, always seems they downsize office staff..

Can’t blame them one bit for leaving CA.

I would not be surprised that Californias war on the car, and business didn`t help, but I have to wonder how much the cheap Chinese knock off copies of Edelbrocks, and other US companies products contributed to this decision. I imagine Vic would be turning in his grave.

I spoke with someone in Edelbrock customer service on Friday. They are working out of the Comp Cams offices in Memphis for now. I think they are transitioning to Comp Groups distribution center on Olive Branch (a few miles down the road from Memphis. They will be in the same building where the Lunati sales office is now.

I’m sure they will keep the Foundry and Heat Treat facility that’s in California in California as it’s a very modern facility and well laid out beside they have states approval to run.

The headquarters and some of the manufacturing is moving from the Torrance, CA facility to our larger facility in Olive Branch, MS where our combined distribution center is already. Makes sense to move some of the manufacturing process to the same facility where we warehouse and ship the parts from. Some of the machining and manufacturing facilities from Torrance, CA will move to the Foundry location in San Jacinto, CA. Likewise, it makes sense to have some of the machining taking place in the same location as the casting of the parts. This move is about becoming more efficient, and increasing our capacity.

"LA County is a very difficult place to have a manufacturing business – local competition, the wages are high, it is hard to get help, and expansion property is very expensive. This was something we had to do to remain competitive and manufacture American-made products".
