Gary, can you post some more old pics of your '69 Road Runner...I'd really like see some more of the car from back then if you have any.

Hi, this is Gary Hansen. I was unable to download all the pictures but here are a couple (I think). Go to our web site, to the photo section. There are a few more. One from the Roadrunner at the 1971 US Nationals. Its hard to make it out. But it is this Roaadrunner and Buster Couch. The web site is. www.poisondartracing.com.

Regarding my plans for the Roqdrunner......I will be buried in it. LOL. A family joke. Actually, I am not to sure. I am getting past my racing prime and I need to sell either the Roadrunner or our 68 dart. So, I guess which one sells first, I will keep amd race the other. If I race (other than bracket race) I will make a 6 pack car out of it and run SS/FA, same as the Dart. Although, I have nearly everything to put the Roadrunner back to original, including original alternator, spare tire, radio, seats, heater, trans plus I have a 18 spline for it. Right now it is a modest low 11 second car with a bullet proof 440, Hughes 727 with brake and Dana. Guess we will see what happens. Gary Hansen

The 383 'Package Stock Option'

This 'performance option' was installed on the 69' 383 Road Runner that
was driven by Ronnie Sox at the September 1969 accelerated tests
at Irwindale Raceway.

* '284' Camshaft (Hydraulic) .484 Lift / 284* Duration
* Matched Lifters (Chrysler part #3412004)
* Holley #3310-1 780 CFM Carburetor (Chrysler part #2836172)
* Edelbrock #DP4B Aluminum Dual-plane High-rise Intake manifold (Chrysler part #2836149)
* Hooker Headers (under-chassis street/strip-type, 1 3/4" tube x 42" length w/3" collectors).
* Casler 7" cheater-slicks

Performance results;
13.71 @ 104.04 MPH (w/headers closed and connected to the exhaust system)

13.60 @ 105.50 MPH (w/header collectors open)
