Default Fletcher article on Comp Plus

Interesting read, on one of the greatest sportsman racers and how the sport has changed. We all know how the competition has gotten so much better but the interview with Dan, Aaron Allison’s podcasts (particularly the one with Jeff Taylor) and Rampy’s farewell interview provide a sobering view of the current Drag Racing scene. And BTW, the racers in the Carolinas will have another hitter to contend with.

Good to know others recognize how much tougher the competition has gotten in the last 10 years.

Something I have realized for a long time.

Cars and drivers are all better.

It is hard to compete on a national level with a non-automotive job and an addiction for the action.

We have parked next to, or close enough to Dan to see how hard he and his team work. He works long, hard, and smart, doing whatever is in the rules to send his opponent home. He's a Pro in the best sense of the word!
