1996 Camaro Convertible 3.8L Good combo?
We have a customer with a mint 96 Camaro Convertible for sale. Curious if it would be a decent combo or if it should just stay a street car. I think it fit's O or P Auto and would have to weigh 3460lbs I think.

If it's a 3800, it's "pretty good" Steve.

Steve The Liberal, I was involved in one of them last year.
It's beat up pretty good. Lean on it hard, in good air, it's 1.00-1.05 under combo. Better in SS. You need the roll bar anyway. Doubt you could get it light enough though. Stick shift? Much better. Low 12 second car.

Mark The Republican. That's good to know. I'm not looking for a killer combo, More something that won't break the bank and get me 1/2 second under in D3 in the summer.

Steve, I think that you'll find that this combo has already been the beneficiary of some very "liberal" HP and technical help from the NHRA.
In other words, it's gotten plenty of welfare assistance already!

Steve the Liberal, my son had a '96 3800 Firebird, auto, T-tops etc. With a posi, a gear, Stocker slicks and a tune (injectors etc) he had it running 12.50 without taking a valve cover off! Jim
