In this build I tried some Proform tools: the electric ring filer and the 4.125 ring compressor. Both were POS's. The ring compressor was 4.126 to 4.132 not round and not going to work in a cylinder with very little chamfer @ 4.124 ID. Ring filer was so loose the indicator moved 008 to 010 just by turning it on. I did buy a AARP compressor that worked well

Break is over back to work.

The top of the car is red so we painted the hood to match. It looks like the correct hood. With some "Hillbilly engineering'' the hood will be wired shut. The cool part about the car is that when you touch the door handle the window roles down just a bit. And when it closed it roles up like magic. I sure hope the battery stays charged so I will be able to get out after a run. I think since it's a 2015 it will still be in warranty until after the election.

Oh ya tell your friend "Thanks for asking"

Larry,
While others might worry about hoods 'n stuff....I just want to compliment you on that laser etching on the piston....nice touch. I would never have thought of that. LOL

Glad you are enjoyin' the fun parts of making things happen.

Best to you and yours,
HB2

Maybe it is a mistake but the pistons only varied .5g and I did not go after that. Top to bottom the parts were pretty good, some of them just didn't like each other. Assembling the heads was a real chore with big hands in tiny spaces. I bet the Ford folks have all kinds of fun with the four valve 302 -327

Engine management hardware, I have an early TPI IAC with a late model adapter plug on it to interface with the ECM. Almost forgot the TPS, MAP, and the air temp sensors. All this stuff looks good on the computer screen but no one has any information about the part. I'm not trying to get the secret recipe for KFC, just what size thread, bolt spacing, or style plug.

We lost a killer engine the first race on a Western swing in Ga. Cam failure, I was done. Found a car and bought it.

Still making parts like each other. Elephant is still very grounded. We are still looking for the magic feather or magic dust like Santa uses.
