Bristol Schedule
Here we go again….E1 on Friday!!!
Come on NHRA!!!! Thought you guys were “listening” to the sportsman racers!?!? Obviously not!! People take their time away from their obligations to go enjoy a sport/hobby that costs lots of dollars, and you guys tell us we get 1 day to enjoy ourselves?!?!?!? Ridiculous!!!!!

Re: Bristol Schedule
Things like this really make it hard to justify the expense.

Re: Bristol Schedule
I am assuming that Josh Petterson and the executives have dinner reservations!!! Barely half of all classes are competing at this National. PS, TAD, TAF, Comp, TS, S/ST, FS are not participating + all the quotas are below the max accept STK...just over 300 cars total, BRUTAL!!! A sportsman field of this size should have easily been able to start eliminations on Saturday morning. NHRA will never understand and as long as we continue to participate/support these potential 1 day Nationals they will keep doing it. IMHO

Re: Bristol Schedule
It is due to a poor forecast on Friday night/sat morning with only 3 days to complete the event. Running early AM or deep into the evening does not bode well in the fall months. Obviously it is not ideal for us racers to only enjoy a National Event for one day before potentially loading the car for home but I do believe this race is typically run earlier in the year correct?

Re: Bristol Schedule
Just gets better and better…NHRA D2 just posted this. Gee, hope the sportsman racers aren’t too much of an inconvenience.
Attention Thunder Valley Nationals Racers! We have amended the schedule for Friday at Bristol Dragway. With potential weather and cooler temperatures moving in later in the weekend, we will now begin tomorrow at 8:30 AM and run R-2 of the sportsman categories tomorrow as well.
