Default 4 foot LED shop lights

Looking for a recommendation on LED shop lights. My building has a 14 foot high white metal ceiling.

Thanks

I had 12 2 bulb fluorescent lights in my 28' x 36' garage, always problems. I ordered from Amazon enough 5000 LED lumen bulbs with some spares to rebulb the garage, now it's super bright and haven't had any problems. I got the LEDs that don't use the ballast and have new tombstone mountings, this was done 3 years ago, I'm very happy with it.

I got mine at Costco, the Feit 4' when they are $10 off @ $19.99. Great price and great lights. 9 of them in my 24'x24' and it's like daylight.

Does anyone make 8 footers to replace fluorescents? I have 8 2 tube fluoros in my 30 x 60 shop. Would be great to just change the tubes and tombstones not have to rewire for 8 more fixtures.

Question Re: 4 foot LED shop lights

Any suggestions:
Thinking of starting from scratch.

Have 50 x 60 steel building with 16' clear span
Right now there are 6 400w sodium warehouse light fixtures which is not enough to work plus too many shadows.

What are my options?
Your experience?

Have seen 8 foot double lamp LED fixtures used and have looked at corn light replacements.

Frank,
My shop is about the same size as yours. My sidewalls are 19' tall. I installed UFO LED lights in my shop. I started off with just 1 so I could see if it was what I wanted, and then installed more afterwards. Mine are roughly 22-24' above the floor, and do a great job. These would be an easy swap for your current lights. I have 4, but will be installing 2 more this winter.

Sean
Am near emptying my old shop of over 20 years and getting back to this am going to begin setting up next month.

Thank you for the suggestion am looking at this fixture closely and like you will order a couple and see what they do. My new shop is 16 feet clear span so light fixtures are no more than 18 feet. The plug in makes them easy to work with just adding outlets to fill the area and reduce shadows in the area where I will be working.

Thanks!!

A Google search on LED light shows several studies that looked at the effects LED light had on the eyes. The reports are mixed as to whether the blue light emitted by LED bulbs can, long term, be effecting the retina's ability to clearly and quickly focus. Since some studies say it is bad for the eye, as a person who highly values my eye sight, I choose to er on the side of caution.
I still use and buy florescent bulbs for my shop and home. Indirect lighting is the safest but can be more costly.
