Default Bracket racing payout

I was just curios what other tracks charge and what kind of purse the pay out. I was looking at the new purse and entry fee of our local track and the percentage of what is paid back is pretty low in my opinion.

Here is the pay out they have listed.

Super Pro - $80 entry
0 – 16 17 – 32 33 – 47 48 - +
Win $250 $500 $750 $800
Runner Up $110 $225 $325 $400
Semi Finalist’s $0 $100 $125 $150

Pro - $70 entry
0 – 16 17 – 32 33 – 47 48 - +
Win $200 $400 $600 $700
Runner Up $80 $175 $250 $300
Semi Finalist’s $0 $85 $125 $150

Sportsman - $50 entry
0 – 16 17 – 32 33 – 47 48 - +
Win $75 $125 $150 $200
Runner Up $50 $75 $100 $125
Semi Finalist’s $0 $0 $40 $40

Cool Re: Bracket racing payout

Dude,,,, Those payouts seem similar to what I'm seeing out here in the NW,,,however it looks like your Sportsman racers are taking it in the shorts compared to Pro and S/P
My 2 cents. Danny Durham

Higher entry and poorer payout than I've been involved with...did your track have a driver's meeting to discuss, are there extensive track upgrades or other extenuating circumstances?

No meeting that I know about. The track just changed hands. This is the first year for the new owner. All I know is it is cheaper with better payouts to Race at Brainerd and they have way more over head than this track.
Doing the math it takes very few cars to cover the posted payout.

Your choice appears obvious, go to Brainerd and take as many of your friends as you can with you and after you do make sure that the Track Operator understands why his car count is low and what you guys as his customers expect if he want if he wants your business.
The people who purchased or run the track are in business to make money so unless this change in payout affects their abiltiy to make a profit they have no reason to change it.

I noticed that too.

For sure not a favorable payout, on what is usually a low car count track in the first place!

In MN, Brainerd or Grove Creek are your better bets in my opinion.

Wow, those are the worst entry to payout ratios I've seen... Sportsman Class is By Far the worst, followed by the rest of the classes which are 40-50% higher entries and between the same to 20% less payouts. That's gross!

Thumbs down Re: Bracket racing payout

It sounds like an NHRA/IHRA payout vs national event entry and expense to me.
