I’m happy that the car runs well and goes straight. My next big challenge with the car is becoming computer savvy so I can attack the little things and try to run with the Big Boys. This old dog has to learn some new tricks.

Patsy says the best old dog trick I do is rolling over and playing dead.

Rescaling the car this morning and testing at Beacon race track later today. Going to try some different things. I’m going to raise the training wheels up a little and see what happens.

It rained. Now it’s off to Chicago for the race this weekend.

Added two 7/16-14 shoulder eyebolts to make tie down easier. Dumbo can be a real bear to tie down on a regular trailer because it has very little ground clearance. I hooked up Joel’s On Joy auto on two shift on the trans, I still need to test.

Auto One Two worked like a champ. I can’t say enough good things about Joel’s On Joy. I think he is partial to elephants.

Is this a valve body mod that automatically shifts 1-2 and you manually shift 3? I googled but can’t get much on this.

1, 2 is automatic 2, 3 is manual. With the Hemi everything happens so fast and most times I would be late. This will be the first race using the auto 1/2 shift and as bad as I hate to admit it my reflexes are slowing down. The big question is going to be if I can remember to do all thing’s correctly before I stage the car.

After seeing the car on the lift the eye bolts hang down to far to be left on the car during competition. R and R won’t be bad and tie down was much easier.

Dumbo is a little slow in 60’ and it would be real easy for me to blame it on “Elephant Azz”, butt I won’t. The Holley system is working well and believe it or not I can download load a run now.
