Default electric vacuum pump

I hear talk about racers installing an electric vacuum pump. It seems to me, doing so is a good idea because it will remove moisture from the crankcase without the engine running. In my specific situation, it would be used with Methanol as a moisture remover, not a power enhancer.
Are any of you doing this?

I installed an electric vaccum pump on my Nostalgia Super Stock car. My main reason for doing this was to minimize oil leaks...and it worked well for that. Here is an article with some info on the pump.

My setup was much simpler, two hoses off the valve cover baffles, Moroso oil seperator, then to the vac pump.

Did You have any luck trying this Larry? I was wondering how effective it would be at keeping the oil cleaner. Thanks

Shaun, no, I have not done so yet, but I do think it is worth considering.
