Default 1962 c 413/340

Came across a '62 New yorker that's not collector quality, but definitely race worthy with the parts that I have on the shelf. Easier combo? Worth a try and ask for a HP decrease?

Small heads with poor head flow.
Small CFM Carb,
Poor flowing intake.

Compare it to our 400
Much better heads
Huge carb
Efficient Intake

294HP With original heads = Better flowing by
a bunch plus large exhaust valves

You need to go .10 under to get a HP reduction
I do not think I could build one fast enough to go
under index!

The engine would need to be 280 HP to be competitive.
That is a 60 HP reduction.

1962 New Yorker is a beast and pushes a ton of Air down the Track.

Runs of 0.100-second under and slower are not included in calculating the engine average.

The AHFS covers that in detail.
