Default Live from the Gator Nationals

Well here we go its time for the BIG SHOW and what a show its going to be. The Pros where testing all day yesterday and if that's what you wanted to watch you had a full day of non stop runs. I got the maintenance done to the race car ran the valves and changed oil. I did find a valve spring with low seat pressure and changed that. Hopefully that will take care of the high gear skip I've been having. The schedule for us is 3 time runs today with the normal rotation ST, S/C,SS, & S/G starting at 8AM. Its going to be a long day I just hope my time runs go a well as they did in testing before the Baby Gators.

What a difference a couple days make. As good as our 9.90 testing went Wednesday lets just say yesterday was a bit of a challenge. I'm hoping todays conditions will be a better suited for my square car. The schedule for today starts at 8AM with the normal rotation for us with the pros making there qualifying runs.

Well 1st round didn't go as hoped. In testing Wednesday I couldn't of asked for a better out come. I started out with a 011 light 9.924, second run was a 023 light 9.904 and then we made a big change to get a ratio and went 9.84. Fast forward to yesterday with the same numbers I went 9.90 I go 10.07 WHAT...? I made a pretty big change and it goes 10.04 . OH NO ! So with my years of experience I turn the stop off and I knew it would be way fast and it was 9.700. NOW WHAT ? So this morning the wind that I blamed for my slow runs had finally pretty much stopped, so I just put the same numbers that I ran the 9.84 with in it. I pull up in the lane and end up next to Jim Taylor JUST WHAT I NEED. ...The end result was Jim tattooed me on the tree .006 I'm 0.40 and run a 9.931 not too bad but he's 9.929 for the win. So here I am spectating at the Gator Nationals and I'm ok with it. Photos coming soon.

He made a mold off of a real car. Something like that anyway. I spoke to him last October at the Fall Nationals at the Tx Motorplex. Cool car.
