Default NMCA Norwalk

34 cars in Q1. I will try and post pictures this weekend if I can along with qualifying sheets. Great weather forecast for this weekend plus the ice cream!

43 cars went through tech so far, great turnout!
I’m having trouble posting pictures, hope to get something later today.
Bill Skillman is number one after Q1, waiting on results from Q2.

Dennis,

Are you talking about the Factory Super Cars?

I'll post more photos for this race as soon as I finish up with my race program. Here are some Factory Super Car photos. Like Dennis said the weather is great, low humidity, low temps, there is a slight head wind. For those of you who like weather numbers here you go....

Temp 71
Humidity 48%
Bar 29.28
Wind head 5mph

These are such great races to attend, very low key and the entire staff, from NMCA to the local officials, they treat us like we are all special. The place is packed with COPO's, I have never seen so many COPO's in one place. I know I always say this, but people who say drag racing is dying should check out a NMCA or NMRA race, the place is jammed with race cars and a cool car show.

The Factory Super Cars are up now with their 3rd qualifier. Skillman is number one as of now at 7.79. Barton cars are 7.86 and 7.89 as now.

For the purest at heart, check out this class. Its call FAST for factory appearing muscle cars. The cars have to run factory wheels and ployglas tires. Engine has to stock appearing with stock components on the out side, carbs, exhaust manifolds and so on. Internal engine mods are permitted.

The quick cars can run in the high nines and low tens... These cars look like they just rolled off the assembly line in the 60's and 70's

Ken, I was referring to the Stock/Super Stock combo. There are now 46 cars on the sheet. This place is packed with cool cars, lots of COPO’s and Cobra Jets. Show cars to Promod, something for everyone! And they treat you very well at every race.

Thanks Dennis.

Here are more shots from today in the pits. The Factory Super Cars are done with their qualifying. Bill Skillman still holds on to the number 1 spot with his 14 Cobra Jet with 7.79, but I heard it hurt a motor. Top 16 cars are in the 7's with many in the 7.80 range.

Bill Skillman stayed number 1 in the combo. 47 cars on the sheet for Q3.

I need Patsy Hill to show me how to resize photos so I can post them, lol.

Email me some photos and I will post them for you. Send only a few at a time, large photos will take a long time to go through.
