Thumbs up Re: 90 Nationals at Maple Grove - Sept 12th & 13th - 2020

Ok my fellow .90 racers , lets get out and show some support for this race !
We've all been sitting home wanting to race, seeing event after event cancelled by NHRA so lets get out and support Rob and Maple Grove's efforts !
The payout is better than you will get from an NHRA race and you won't have to wait for weeks or months for checks to slowly roll in.
No excuses about ,cant get there from here , hills are too steep ,cant level my motorhome, LETS GO !

Hey Drew,
I'm awaiting a call back from MG on this, they have been flooded with calls / emails for refunds for the National Event and people calling and yelling at them because it was cancelled. So I haven't had much time to grab their ear on stuff. Also trying to get a parking staff together and some people to help in the lanes because a lot of the normal staff takes off for the Nationals since NHRA brings in their people so they use that for vacation.

I will have a flyer and all info in a day or two.

Thanks,
Rob

Due to the COVID-19 guidelines in PA, we have to unfortunately limit the car counts for each class. I would love to just open the gates and let everyone in but:

#1 - We wouldn't finish in time, if this was a 3 day event we probably could let everyone in. I also wouldn't want to make anyone mad because we ran up against curfew or couldn't finish a race in time.
#2 - With a large crowd it might set off the authority's in which we could be shut down if the crowd count go over too much.
#3 - Masks and Social Distancing is a must for this event
#4 - Right now there will be no spectators allowed.

So here's how it works - All the .90 classes will be limited to 80 cars each, anyone who finished in the Top 10 of the Mid Atlantic .90 2019 Points will get treated like a past world champ or D1 champ so even if we hit the 80 cap and someone who finished in the Top 10 hasn't got in, you will be able to get in. This is a perk for running the .90 series and supporting me. If one class doesn't fill up (Say only 65 Super Street enter) and 12 Super Comp are waiting, we'd let the 12 SC in and cap SST.

There will be NO entries at the gate, you must pre-enter. I have to do this because I can't take the risk of having 200 super comp cars show up. We will hopefully have the link set up shortly.

MONDAY, MONDAY, MONDAY!!! We will be posting the link to enter the .90 Nationals and TD / TS Shootout at the Grove. This is to be fair to everyone who’s racing in Epping this weekend for them to get a fair shot at entering this race also!
Remember only 80 Cars per .90 class and 50 in TS & TD. This will set it the fields at a comfortable setting that we will be able to fit the event in at a proper time, get you the qualified runs, the the high roller race and eliminations.

If there is weather or you cannot make the event (you pre-enter and something comes up over the next few weeks) you will have till Wednesday the 9th to back out and get a refund.

We’ll also post updates on how many spots are left, I hope to see you all come out to this event and next year we can have a big party with everyone in attendance and run for some even bigger cash and prizes!
So get the keyboard ready to enter on Monday!!

Drew,
I apologize for the wait, I'm trying to work out something to allow us in the gates around 12 on Friday to get parked and set up. The track will be open at least at 4pm Friday Night for their normal Test & Tune night and I'd advise to go through tech that night to save on the cluster on Saturday Morning but, trying to work on grabbing Friday as a Test & Tune day, just waiting on a number to rent.

Thanks again
Rob

Rob , we need to do the same as a Div or national race with "self tech" and just hand in our cards and let Tech Officials do spot checks in the lanes as they do at Div and National races.
Nearly all the cars that will sign up for this race have been doing this for over a year now , no reason not to do it at this race.
