Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
If something goes wrong with them, the wires will make me look foolish. The important ones start the car and operate the windows. Thanks again for the help John

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Had to find a few more parts in some bar stock yesterday. I made a couple extra for the trailer. The glass folks were easy to work with, they removed all extra glue and only used enough for installation. The fit from windshield to roof of car was real nice.
I should get a lot of plumbing done today and under hood wiring. I hope we have a good day, for it would be great to take Patsy out to dinner tonight. Patsy in not very mechanical, understatement, but she makes my day better by doing all the other stuff well. She always carries her half of the load, sometimes a little more than half, of our race team. Last edited by Larry Hill; 08-10-2019 at 10:19 AM. |

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Three of us worked on the car yesterday, Chris, Bob, and I. We got a lot done but still have plenty to do. We did go to supper last night and make a Wally World visit. We got just the bare essentials, bread, bananas, beer, and 85W-90 gear oil.
You don't want to be low on beer if Jeff makes a surprise visit. It's play time! Last edited by Larry Hill; 08-11-2019 at 11:01 AM. |

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
I think I will have to waste some money on extra shipping today. The first time in the build. Chris said the extra shipping is less costly then renting the track.

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Well my record is still intact B&B had some and might be here tomorrow. Car is loaded in trailer and will be at Greer-Neon to have the numbers and graphics applied. Keith, the owner, is a real car guy he likes them old or new. Patsy should post some pictures.

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
B&B parts help the car ride height adjustment until I sat in the car. Then it bottom out. People often ask me what's it like to be that tall or this big todays answer is: Expensive.
