Re: Quickest trans brake
Last year I switched from a standard TCI brake to a ATI "Wicked Quick" brake in my TH400. It was worth about .030-.040 in RT and much more consistent.

Re: Quickest trans brake
When the Billet internal solenoid Valve Bodies started coming out I asked multiple manufacturers if they would be quicker than my old Hipster. Nobody would tell me they would be.

Re: Quickest trans brake
.030 to .040 would make a big difference for me if I needed to hit a .370 Tree.

Re: Quickest trans brake
That got me thinking if I could cut a .370 light. I could do something stupid like enter Super Comp at the Fall Nationals.

Re: Quickest trans brake
Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like the ATI wicked quick is the fastest reacting one. A little pricey, but as the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for."

ATI had been selling the Griner brake prior to the Wicked Quick version . Any stock valve body based brake using the modulator valve will be much slower than the billet , internal brakes due to the small , circuitous passages and small valve diameters that come with using the OEM components.

Re: Quickest trans brake
I have been using a Grinier TH400 brake for many years. Last year I purchased a new style quicker releasing brake from EXtreme Automatics. They have continued the Griner line for TH400.

Re: Quickest trans brake
Good Info Guys. I have really been thinking about talking to Mr Kilgore about his new program. I'm just a little skiddish about the price.
