Default Radio's in your trailer

What radios do you guys use in your trailers? RV wall mount? car radio? portable? I have a portable that I use now, and sometimes if I'm pitted a ways from the tower the reception isn't the greatest. Wondering what y'all use and does it get better reception?

Rick,
We installed a $60 JVC car stereo in the trailer. I purchased a under-dash mount and it is mounted under the upper cabinets. Box speakers are mounted on top of the upper cabinets. At first I avoided installing the antenna outside of the trailer, due to the size of hole required. Reception was terrible at a couple of tracks, so I ended up installing the antenna in the roof. As for the radio it has bluetooth and when Warren has live broadcasts, we connect our phone to it and playback stock and SS. We also use the BT to play our own music from the phone.

We used a KMART/WALMART AM/FM cheapo special car radio $29.95 and some speakers from a swap meet like $10 for 4 of them speakers are mounted on the door and inside of the trailer---to improve reception we utilized a bolt on antenna mounted to the lip of the drain over the outside door ---get one that the mast will extend and has the spring in it that way if you encounter low branches you won't snap it off---effective

I also have a typical AM/FM CD car deck mounted under the upper cabinets, and a short, rubber mast antenna on the roof of the trailer. For speakers, a pair of weatherproof outdoor speakers, mounted on right side outer walls, near the top, but below the awning. Even here in the rainy Northwest, the speakers are unfazed by the elements.

Midwest Race Cabinets has a couple different options that come with the mount radio speakers and antenna.

Just search midwest race cabinets they have all kinds of add-ons for trailers. And they are racers.
