Just looked at the 2/14/20 National Dragster. The entry fee for the SGMP race was listed as $180. Tucson Divisional entry was listed as $170. The entry for the Division 4 race at No Problem was listed as $200.

There has been a history of slightly different entry fees per division. Do payouts also vary?

Yes, NSF ..The tracks holding LODRS races within a division, decide what the price will be for the season.
(Am I repeating myself ?)

There was already a way to fill out a tech card online but that is to simple using NHRA logic.

Go figure ..

I am betting it will be a cluster FUBAR.

That is funny. Maybe we should let people dial above the index if they can’t run fast enough.

I know I know. Just kidding.

Maybe it should be the first to staging for pairing gets the lane choice.

That will make a huge difference to who shows up when for pairing.

This seems like a good idea for a performance based category like Super Stock and Stock, meaning top qualifiers or higher qualified. Is this also how it works in competition eliminator?
Or maybe racer with better light from round before can have lane choice? Either seems better than flipping coins in 2020.

I like the way they do lane choice at the Summit Series division finals. As cars gradually pull up in the lanes two-by-two you encounter an official who points at one racer who then points left or right to indicate lane preference. Then the same for the other driver. If they ask for opposite lanes he just waves them up, and they cross over if necessary to get to their lanes.

If they ask for the same lane the official points to one driver who gives thumbs up or down for heads or tails. The official flips a coin and directs the drivers to the proper lane.

Takes less time than to send a pair down the track and no one ever has to get near, or talk to, anyone else.

Well my tech card came through with a question or space for any class of race car that has ever been down a track. I had a lot of n/a,s on there but it went through!
I think the coin flip is fine. I like to have a little conversation with the racer thats fixin to kick my arse!
