Default Removing rear window crank regulator

Want to remove the rear window crank regulator mechanisms from a '67 Camaro. Need advise as to how I can pin or keep the rear window up & in place tight. Am going to keep the glass, just loose the regulators.

take a small piece of aluminum and pop rivet it to the bracing and position it to hold the bottom of the window /glass framing it in position---Comp 387
